Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) has officially launched the INTERACT-AFRICA project, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of green technologies for climate change mitigation and sustainable bioeconomy in Africa. The four-year research endeavor, set into motion on 26th April 2024.
With a primary focus on capacity building, the project seeks to equip scholars with the skills and expertise necessary to navigate the complexities of climate change and foster sustainable development. Through targeted training and education initiatives in green chemistry, biology, and information technology, INTERACT-AFRICA aims to cultivate a cadre of professionals capable of driving meaningful change across Africa.
Below is the highlight of the event which was held at the Solomon Mahlangu Campus in Morogoro and attended by Prof. Japhet Kashaigili, Director for Research and Postgraduate studies at SUA.
