Salum Mkenga Hassan, Is a PhD student supported by VaSPHARD project in pursuing PhD in Phytomedicine. He is working in a project on “Valorization of Phytochemicals selected medicinal plant for management of human and animal diseases”. His focus is to promote utilization and commercialization of formulated products from selected plant.
Mr. Hassan is also an assistant lecturer at Mbeya University of Science and Technology in Tanzania. Students’ projects/research supervision; tutorial conduction; lecturing; consultancy and academic research works are his duties at the university. He holds Masters of Science in Natural Products Technology and Value Addition (MSc. NPV) and Bachelor of Science with Education (Chemistry & Biology) both of Sokoine University of Agriculture Morogoro, Tanzania. He also holds a Diploma in Education Examination (DEE), of Monduli Teachers’ college, Monduli, Arusha, Tanzania.
