Saidi Babu is MSc. Student (Crop Science) from department of Crop Science and Horticulture. He is undertaking investigations on propagation and evaluation of effectiveness of Commiphora swynnertonii (Burtt) and Synadenium glaucescens (Pax) against Tomato fusarium wilt. He aims at enhancing mass propagation and fungicidal usage of C. swynnertonii and S. glaucescens. Mr. Babu is supported by “Valorization of Potentials of S. glaucescens Phytochemicals for Management of Important Human and Animal Diseases (VaSPHARD) project (under AAS/AESA RISE through SUA – DCP)” in pursuing MSc. Research study. Mr. Babu is also working as an Agricultural Officer in Tabora Regional Secretariet. He has the prime responsibility for provision of support in areas of planning and implementation of agricultural strategies for improving plant health. He holds a BSc. Agricultural general from Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA). He presented and summit research paper entitled “Conservation Approaches for Sustainable Use of Pesticidal Plants” in Proceedings of SUA Scientific Conference in Agriculture and Agribusiness, Morogoro, Tanzania.
