The Department of Informatics and Information Technology (DIIT) in the College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS) at the Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) received the “Best Departmental Website of the Year” award on November 21, 2023, at SUA’s Edward Moringe Campus, SUA. Prof. Caroline Nombo, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology graced the event as the guest of honor.
Among those present were Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raphael Chibunda, Deputy Vice-Chancellors Prof. Maulid Mwatawala and Prof. Amandus Muhairwa, as well as other faculty heads, SUA staff, and students.
Prof. Wulystan Mtega, Head of Department, DIIT, received the award on behalf of all DIIT staff members.
