The Department of Informatics and Information Technology (DIIT), College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CoNAS), Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) is excited to launch a new Programme, Master in Information and Knowledge Management (MIKM). The general objective of the MIKM Degree Programme is to equip students with theoretical understanding and practical applications of Information and Knowledge Management concepts and the ability to apply these in practice to enable them to manage information and knowledge in a changing environment. The Master in Information and Knowledge Management is designed to provide students with practical skills and competencies for effectively and efficiently creating and managing knowledge for development. The programme is meant to produce graduates who can work as knowledge and learning managers. It is set to support organizational innovation and creativity. The program offers a unique combination of theoretical and practical training in knowledge management, information systems, data management, digital libraries, and information governance.

Our program graduates will be prepared to work in a variety of fields as information scientists, librarians, knowledge managers, indexers, documentation officers, learning managers, researchers, instructors, curators, information managers, and others.
