During our recent YEESI Lab Weekend Workshops Series, we had the privilege of being trained in Human Resources management for start-ups by Madam Regula Damas, a Principal HR officer. Her training focused on working with human beings diligently while still achieving the goals of a start-up.
Successful start-ups often excel in recruiting top talent and building strong networks to realize their vision and accomplish their missions effectively.
Madam Regula covered 19 HR principles, ranging from recruitment to managing daily tasks at all stages. This provided valuable insights for the upcoming “CEO” from YEESI Lab, offering a perspective beyond the usual discussions on Artificial Intelligence.
The workshop was well-attended, with over 34 participants registering, of which 30% were female. An interesting statistic was that 65% of the attendees had no prior experience in managing human resources within a company setting.
